Code of Conduct Policy
This Code of Conduct Policy outlines the expectations and standards of behavior for students, staff, and faculty. The policy is guided by the principles of Islamic cultural norms, and academic excellence.
2.1. Respect for Islamic Beliefs and all other beliefs : All members of the university community are expected to demonstrate respect for Islamic beliefs and all other beliefs , practices, and traditions. Any actions that disrespect or undermine Islamic principles or any other beliefs are strictly prohibited.
2.2. Modesty and Dress Code: Dressing modestly in accordance with UAE values is required. Clothing that is respectful and adheres to UAE dress guidelines should be worn on campus premises.
3.1. Honesty in Academic Work: Plagiarism, cheating, and any form of academic dishonesty are prohibited. Upholding the principles of honesty and integrity is essential to maintaining the quality of education.
4.1. Respect for Others: All members of the university community are expected to treat one another with respect, regardless of gender, religion, nationality, or background.
4.2. Civility and Communication: Communication should be conducted in a polite and respectful manner, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for learning and collaboration.
5.1. Anti-Harassment: Harassment, including but not limited to sexual harassment, racial harassment, and religious harassment, is strictly prohibited. Everyone is entitled to a safe and respectful environment.
5.2. Non-Discrimination: Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, nationality, or any other protected characteristic is unacceptable and goes against the principles of UAE and the university’s values.
6.1. Obeying Rules and Regulations: All members of the university community are required to follow the university’s rules, regulations, and directives in line with the laws of the country.
7.1. Responsible Use: University facilities, resources, and technology should be used responsibly and in alignment with the university’s mission and values.
8.1. Community Engagement: Members of the university are encouraged to participate in community service and other activities that promote positive contributions to society.
9.1. Prohibition: The use, possession, or distribution of alcohol or prohibited substances on university premises is strictly prohibited.
10.1. Legal Compliance: All members of the university community are required to adhere to the laws of the country and uphold positive values.
11.1. Violation Consequences: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary actions, ranging from warnings to suspension or expulsion, in accordance with university policies.
12.1. Reporting Mechanism: Any member of the university community who witnesses or experiences a violation of this Code of Conduct should report it to the designated [Office of Student Affairs/HR Department/Department Name].
